Archaeological sites in the Mafraq Governorate:
Archaeological sites are currently in the governorate of Mafraq major contributor of tourism in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
Mafraq Governorate, where is rich in archaeological sites dating back to different eras in addition to that there are promising areas in the province have not been discovered yet



1 - or beauty: beauty or town is located to the east of Mafraq Governorate, about fifteen kilometers and has its roots in the town or settlement beauty to the period since Nabatiyah the first century BC. M until the Mamluk period of the Islamic

4 - Alfdin:: important archaeological sites in the province, built by the Greeks and was an important city in the Byzantine era in the Islamic era, where she was on the pilgrimage route, also played an important role in the Ottoman Empire for the passage of railway near the most important monuments in this site Umayyad mosque built in an artistic way architectural interest. The significance of the existence of the site where the castle known as Castle Alfdin, built in the early Ottoman period.




5 - Rehab:: The town of Rihab, 12 km from the city of Mafraq, rising about (915) meters above sea level and the archaeological history of the region back to the Stone Age and notorious as well as churches to cemeteries, ponds, wells, water harvesting and the mosque, towers and houses and caves
